Supreme Sports is now offering Baseball and Softball Lessons. Develop your skills in a professional learning environment either one lesson at a time or in a package of lessons. Our professional staff is dedicated to helping young players progress to the next level; our instructors have impressive credentials, experience and enthusiasm and offer lessons on hitting, pitching and fielding.

One (1) 30-minute Individual Lesson - $35
Six (6) 30-minute Individual Lessons - $200
One (1) 60-minute Group Lesson (2 to 3 students) - $40 per student

Baseball Academy Instructors
Chad Abernathy - Chad played at Truman High School in Independence where he was a Four-year varsity starter, Four-time All-Conference and All-Area selection, Two-time All-Kansas City Metro and All-State selection, Honorable Mention USA Today All-USA in 2000 and the Independence Examiner's Player of the Year in 2000 and 2001. He still holds several school records including, Career batting average (.432), Career hits (142), Career RBI (100), Career stolen bases (78), Season batting average (.558), Season hits (53), Season RBI (49), and Season stolen bases (39). Chad went on to play collegiately at Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City where he Batted .405, with 15 HR, 45 RBI, and 19 SB in 2004 and was named NJCAA All-American. He signed with Division I Oklahoma State and finished up his final two years of eligibility playing for the Cowboys in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Chad is currently an assistant baseball coach at Maple Woods Community College.
Softball Academy Instructors
Kristen Abernathy - Kristen played at Truman High School in Independence where she was named All-Conference, All-Area and All-Metro as a pitcher in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. She also received All-State honors in 1997 and 1999. Following her senior season she held all of the individual softball pitching records at Truman High School. Kristen signed with UMKC and was named to the All Mid-Continent Conference first team and was an Honorable Mention All-American during her freshman season in 2000. After an injury forced her to declare for a medical red-shirt in 2001 she transferred to East Texas Baptist University in Marshall Texas where her team was ranked in the top 20 in the nation all three years, including number one most of the 2004 season. During her playing career at ETBU she was named All-Conference pitcher in 2002, 2003 and 2004, All-Region pitcher in 2002 and 2004, All Conference Designated Player in 2002, led the nation in saves in 2002 and received the schools top pitcher award in 2003. Kristen has coached area summer league teams and has been providing pitching instruction for the past 7 years.
